Her family was Catholic and she was raised in the Upper East Side in Manhattan. She was accepted by her parents at the Convent of the Sacred Heart which was a prestigious, religious and private school. From the time she was a child, she has been a lover of music. She learned how to play piano at a very early age and composed her first original song at the age of thirteen. She was a part of open-mic night. She was a huge fan of the Queen Michael Jackson, Madonna, as well as David Bowie. She studied music in the Tisch School of Art of New York University after completing her secondary schooling.
